FOOD AND BEVERAGES: Happy Hour at Home

One of the benefits related to the long cold winters is the chance of enjoying good friends’ company in the warmth of our places. Certainly, there’s nothing more exciting that tasting delicious drinks with touches to warm up the Christmas and New Year souls. These recipes were revealed by the Argentinean restaurant “Capital Federal”.

Macarena (one serving)
Ingredients
1 ½ dash Vodka
1 teaspoon lemon juice
4 ice cubes
4 mint leaves
4 blackberries for garnish
1 teaspoon sugar (or as needed)

Build all the ingredients over ice in a shaker. Shake, strain into a cold cocktail glass, and garnish with the raspberries.


Evita (one serving)
Ingredients
1 dash Vodka
1 dash Peach Liqueur
1 dash watermelon juice
½ dash orange juice
4 ice cubes

Combine the ingredients in a shaker with ice, and strain in a cold Martini glass or similar. 



Capital Federal (one serving)
Ingredients
1 ½ dash Vodka
1 dash tea
½ dash orange juice
½ dash Orange Liqueur
4 ice cubes
1 teaspoon sugar (or as needed)

Combine the ingredients in a shaker with the ice cubes, and strain in a cold Martini glass or similar.


Long Island Ice Tea (one serving)
Ingredients
½ dash Tequila
½ dash Vodka
½ dash Whiskey
½ dash Gin
½ dash White Rum
1 dash lemon juice
1 can Coke, Pepsi, or similar carbonated beverage
4 ice cubes
1 slice lemon for garnish
1 teaspoon sugar (or as needed)

Combine all the ingredients in a shaker, leaving the carbonated beverage aside. Strain into a cold tall glass, mixing with the soda, and decorating with the slice lemon.
